TWILIGHT FANS AT THE NEW MOON PREMIERE LOVE SIGNS

(That guy supports Team Jacob.  That’s Taylor Lautner’s father, right?  Please tell me it is.)

Videogum has a whole gallery of pictures from the Twilight: New Moon premiere, so you can just go there if you want to see them all. I’m only picking a few of my favorites, but clearly this represented a cross section of America’s finest. Like this guy. He likes America, sleeveless shirts, and vampires that sparkle. I think that was a Bob Seger song. Or this girl, the one behind the girl in the front. She wants to be “a stupid lamb.” Or possibly a stupid lamp, it isn’t entirely clear. Regardless, it’s good to have ambitions. Then there’s these girls, who support the Cullen diet, while standing behind a lady who doesn’t seem to support any diets. Diversity is beautiful. Meanwhile, the girl in the front right is enjoying her one day of the month outside. Anyway, I just thought you guys should enjoy some of these photos, because a lot of good cats went hungry for this.

Twilight sequel New Moon breaks record for advance box office sales

More film fans have pre-booked tickets to New Moon than ordered advance seats for Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince or The Dark Knight, according to Fandango, the cinema booking website.

With three days to go before the sequel goes on general release in the US on Nov 20, it has already sold more advance seats than the original Twilight film in 2008.

"For many fans, it's the year's most anticipated film event," a Fandango spokesman told the Deadline Hollywood website.

"Ever since tickets went on sale in September, it's been among our top five weekly ticket-sellers, as New Moon has a strong pull on audiences.

"We're seeing a higher-than-usual number of tickets per transaction for this film, suggesting that moviegoers will show up en masse at theaters this weekend with their friends and family."
Thousands of fans flocked to see New Moon stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart at the film's Los Angeles premiere on Monday.

Pattinson, 23, who plays vampire Edward Cullen in this latest adaptation of the popular series, said this year's crowd of thousands of screaming fans was larger than last year's turnout.

"And it seems different to me because we have done this world tour in the last week and it has just been unbelievable in every single city," he said. "It is about 10 times bigger than any other city in the world."

Twilight Saga: New Moon Fan Party in London

London was swamped with thousands of screaming fans in The Twilight Saga: New Moon Party Tour in UK. Walking the red carpet, New Moon stars Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart greeted England’s dedicated Twifans, signing autographs and stopping for the odd snapshot along the way.

Here's a video clip of  New Moon's  Fan Party in  London:

MySpace site to stream New Moon red carpet

Twilight fans can get a slice of the action on the New Moon premiere red carpet on Monday just by heading to their computer.

An official website has been set up where fans can watch the red carpet glamour unfold in LA.

New Moon is of course going to be the premiere of the year! All of the films stars - Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart included - will be there, and no doubt plenty of other Hollywood hotties (will Lautner's girlfriend Taylor Swift be there with her beau?)

The MySpace page will be streaming live from 3pm New Zealand time on Monday November 16.

The big question will be if, after being snapped holding hands leaving Paris, will Kristen and RPatz walk the red carpet together? Tune in Monday to find out.

New Star Taylor Lautner Rises in "New Moon"

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Women swooned for Robert Pattinson as vampire Edward Cullen in last year's hit movie romance "Twilight," but in its upcoming sequel Taylor Lautner, who almost didn't make it into the film, is the newest hunk for fan's to feast on.

"The Twilight Saga: New Moon" rises in theaters on November 20 as one of the most-anticipated movies early in Hollywood's holiday season. Predecessor "Twilight" made $384 million at worldwide box offices in 2008, and its young principal actors, Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, shot to overnight stardom.

But in "New Moon," the second romance about the netherworld adventures of teenager Bella Swan (Stewart) and the love of her life Cullen, it is Lautner who grabs the spotlight.

He portrays American werewolf Jacob Black, Swan's protector when Cullen leaves her to go to Italy. Black's devotion to Swan has earned him -- and that means Lautner, too -- the devotion of millions of young girls obsessed with author Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" books on which the movies are based.

"We have fans all the time that will just burst into tears, it's just moving," he said. "It must mean so much for them to meet us, and it's an amazing feeling to know that you can touch someone in that way."

Prior to "Twilight," the 17-year-old Lautner was best known for his starring role in 2005 children's film "The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D." And in 2008's hit vampire film, the Jacob Black role was a small one as Swan's childhood friend. So, Lautner is relatively new to the stardom "New Moon" is bringing, and the teenager seems to be enjoying it.

STARDOM ALMOST FADED

But for a time it appeared the studio behind "Twilight," Summit Entertainment, might not hire him for the sequel.

When Summit left Lautner's name out of a statement announcing the other actors for "New Moon," including Pattinson and Stewart, "Twilight" fans protested stridently, and their Internet-based campaign brought Lautner back from the dead.

Exclusive: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart caught kissing

Twilight co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart appeared to blow the lid on their secret romance after they were seen locking lips outside a screening of the film’s sequel. The pair previously denied the dating reports, insisting they were just “friends”.

But rumours reached a new high after the duo reportedly spent the night together at Hollywood''s Chateau Marmont hotel last week. The stars later attended the screening of The Twilight Saga: New Moon where they were spotted kissing.

"Rob wanted a cigarette so he went outside with Kristen for about 15 minutes,” Contactmusic quoted a source as telling the Us Magazine. “They were hugging, as Rob was smoking his cigarette
, and then he leaned down and kissed her on the lips. He had his arm around her almost the whole time," the source added.

Countdown begins for New Moon's World Premier

New Moon doesn't hit theaters until Nov. 20, but the red carpet will be rolled out four days prior for its star-studded world premiere.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and many others are expected at the invite-only event Nov. 16. Just as Summit did with Twilight’s premiere, there will be two screenings happening simultaneously at the Mann Village and Bruin Theatres in the Westwood neighborhood of L.A.

Ashley Greene's Favorite 'New Moon' Scene

The tabloid covers may be dominated by Rob and Kristen, but in the hearts and minds of "Twilight" fans, there is no cover girl as dazzling as so-sweet-she'll-give-you-a-cavity series star Ashley Greene.

With "New Moon" less than a month away (hooray!), and Alice Cullen's screen time substantially increased, we caught up with the actress and occasional MTV News correspondent to get her latest thoughts on stealing expensive cars, playing board games with Kellan Lutz, and the "New Moon" cast's shared love of ... kittens?

MTV: What was your favorite "New Moon" scene to shoot?

Ashley Greene: Of course, the Porsche was incredible, the whole experience of filming [that scene]. Working with Michael Sheen, it was just really funny how he created this whole atmosphere out of the scene and could switch it up. Everything that he did was a little bit inspired, and so the whole Volturi scene with him was really fun to do. [I also love] the whole Cullen scene, when Bella gets a paper cut and Jasper goes crazy — you haven't seen that side of him yet. The performances are great, and the whole dynamic is really great. That was one of my favorite scenes to watch.

MTV: You guys have become such good friends and have so much downtime between takes. What sort of things do you talk about when the cameras aren't rolling?

Greene: Between takes? Gosh, everything. YouTube was a big topic of conversation; we were sharing YouTube videos. Which was kinda funny, because [we'd be filming a] really intense situation, and then they would yell, "Cut!" and we would have 20 minutes and we'd break out "Kittens Inspired by Kittens." It's this little girl reading a kittens book. [Laughs.]

MTV: So Alice and Bella would be giggling between all that drama?

Greene: Yeah, there was a lot of that, just a lot of giggling and laughing. During "New Moon," especially in Italy, me and Kristen were, like, the only girls. So there was a lot of girly giggling going on.

MTV: Do you feel more like Alice now than when you did "Twilight"?

Greene: I feel like I was like the character a little bit anyways. I was really excited to play Alice in the beginning because she is a really positive, bright light — and a very moral vampire. I was saying in the beginning that I felt that I was [as well], and that was relatable. At least, I try to act [positively]; I don't know if we can all the time. [Also] she's really close with her family obviously, and that was there from the get-go, so I felt like the only other thing I could do to get closer would be to become a vampire or see the future. [Laughs.] [But] fashion-wise, yes. Fashion-wise, I have become a lot more like Alice Cullen, because she is probably the most fashionable out of the Cullen clan, and I've recently become obsessed with fashion.

MTV: There's so much "Twilight" merchandise out there. Do you own any?

Greene: I have a couple shirts. I have a couple things from "Twilight" that I want to keep as memorabilia, and so I have a couple shirts. I definitely have the necklace. While filming, Kellan bought the "Twilight" game, and we played. We made Xavier [Samuel] play it, the poor new kid. We were like, "The new kid will play!" and so we had Xavier come over and Peter Facinelli came over. Me and him and those two guys and Kellan played the "Twilight" game. And I won. I'm just saying. No big deal.

MTV: What is the secret to the success of the "Twilight" film franchise?

Greene: If I told you, I'd have to kill you. [Laughs.]
